Wrong. I'd suggest that /most/ 2000AD readers would have heard of Harry
Knowles's film news website AICN. The site is one of the most
influential in the movie industry and was rated no. 1 "Entertainment
News Site In The World" by The Times in August 2005.
It can make or break multi-million-dollar movies and studios are so
concerned by its power that its main contributors are regularly wooed by
studios or banned from lots. Knowles has occasionally presented popular
movie review shows with Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel (the US equivalent
of Barry Norman) and has his own review show on Sky Movies in the UK.
Knowles is big mates with Quentin Tarantino and has appeared as himself
in movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and The Faculty. He is
the subject of at least two biographies. Warren Ellis occasionally
writes for AICN. Bruce Willis and Sly Stallone go onto the forums to
promote their movies.

Yes, the user interface is crap and the search engine never returns any
results, but that's part of the amateur-ish charm that users love.
The quote is taken from AICN's review of Mandroid.
A quick search on Google found it:

We're talking about the USA here. They call Lego bricks "Legos" and
study mathematics in the singular. If you expect them to stick to the
Queen's English then you're setting yourself up for a disappointment.
