Hand on heart I love Wagner's 2000AD work, I would take a lie-detector
test to prove it too, but man, he must be suffering some mental
breakdown because current Dredd is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
awful. Just when you think it can't get worse than mutants with
lawgivers (arguably the dumbest plot development in 30 plus years of
Dredd) we now have the embarrassing specatcle of a mutant acting like
a dog (lol!) and trying to sniff out the missing child.
C'mon, this is plain crap. It's embarrassing. The final frame from
this week's Dredd was awful. This is Dredd - JUDGE DREDD, possibly the
greatest British comic book character of all time - he took on Cal,
the Sovs, Judge Death, the Judge Child, Orlok, Stan Lee, heck,
thousands of perps - and now it's his mutant family and their mutant
sniffer dog son come to the rescue! It's so awful it's almost surreal.
You can't believe it's actually happening.
John, you are a legend, I thank you for creating and writing hundreds
of wonderful Dredds but with the greatest of respect please retire.
This mutant stuff is just horribly awful to read and it's getting
worse with every prog. We now have the Fargo clan as some weird Judges
out to solve crimes and almost in piss-take mode one of the family is
a mutant sniffer dog! Please, John, kill them off. Dredd has gone from
utterly brilliant to plain crap. Hand on heart, John Wagner has really
lost the Dredd plot! :(
