i think it's interesting that somehow,
Georgians consider Virginia north.
There's some definite humour there.
I admit, I 'out' my roots selectively. I often say
I'm from VA and NC just before here . . . wimpy, but
it generally works.
I once used the Virginia line and heard in response,
"oh, you're from up north"
