based on what I discovered at the renfaire, the jousts were just like
today's
talk shows.
i know this because these shows strive to be historically accurate.
I know this because apparently, during the jousts, people carrying cue
cards
walked
around the stands trying to incite applause, laughter, hissing and booing,
just
like they do for the Tonite Show
My favorite part was when the cue card guy said "go nuts" and the people
in
my bleachers section said: "Nuts!"
the cue card guy got really mad at that
I have been trying to figure out what time machine they used to bring back
paper
and magic marker for the renaissance though
next thing you know the shakespearean actors will be quoting beach boy
lyrics as
poetry of the time
