Storing Comics: Matte Side or Shiny Side?

by Todd <twrexxnospam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 21, 2007 at 03:19 AM

Hi, all.

Sorry to ask what seems like a basic question, but I'm hearing wildly
different things from the comic stores I frequent.

The question is this:

What side of the backing board do you put the comic against when
bagging a book? The glossy side or the flat/matte side? I've been
using the glossy side because I thought that side was treated to
prevent acid wear.

Is there a definitive answer to this?

Thanks.

Todd
