My old roommate C. Toth, of the 1980s Capitol Records band Zeitgeist
aka The Reivers, once played me a cassette including a partially taped-
over rendition of "Linus & Lucy" which was clearly a spare-no-expense
recording by the major label. I'm pretty sure that this track (which
they often played live) never made it as a bonus track on any of their
CDs, but you can here them play it in the background of the YouTube
clip of their MTV Cutting Edge Show performance from 1985. Enjoy:
