I think she's hung up on the movie continuity but, to be fair, I seem
to recall Amazing Fantasy #15 starting with a splash page with Peter
Parker off to one side pining over Liz Allen who was standing with her
friends, including Flash Thompson.  So Mary Jane in the first movie was
a combination of Liz Allen, Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane so it is easy to
get confused and think Peter pined over one woman for all those years.
