Which is why we designate a number to Earth-V, create the Berger Wall
which cannot be passed through and get on with things.
That way Vertigo can do what they want with any DC character and DC
can do what they want with any Vertigo character.

Or, there's a Zatanna and Phantom Stranger on New Earth and on Earth-
V.

And DC, and I'm sure Vertigo characters, appeared in Kingdom Come.
They have aspects of the characters which are shared, aspects which
are different.
This "separate but linked" thing is the worst of both worlds.
