Destiny = Potmos
Death = Teleute
Dream = Oneiros
Destruction = Olethros
Desire = Epithumia
Despair = Aponoia
Delirium = Mania
I never tried to track down the original Greek -- with one
exception (see below) -- so I don't know which e's are epsilon vs.
eta, nor which o's are omicron vs. omega.
When "The Song of Orpheus" originally came out, it was the first
time we'd seen Destruction or heard a name for him. I remember
trying to figure out what English word beginning with "D(e?)-" Neil
had in mind for Olethros, but I don't think I found a Greek
dictionary that listed "Destruction" as a possibility. :-( IIRC,
the closest I could get was "Disaster", which seemed unlikely.
