2003 SQUIDDY AWARDS--THIRD PSEUDO-NOMINEE LIST (RAC.dc.vertigo, RAC.dc.lsh, RAC.strips, RAC.elfquest)

by jch@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Carl Henderson) May 2, 2004 at 04:59 AM

2003 SQUIDDY AWARDS--THIRD PSEUDO-NOMINEE LIST

This is the third (and possibly final) pseudo-nominee list for the 2003
Squiddy Awards. The pseudo-nominee list is a list of all the creators,
books, merchandise, etc. which have so far received AT LEAST ONE VOTE in
the Squiddy awards balloting.

THIS IS NOT THE BALLOT!

You are NOT limited to voting only for entries on this list; you may vote
for ANY eligible comic/story/creator/etc.

The purpose of the pseudo-nominee list is three-fold:
1) to provide an informal list of "nominations" for voters
who would like their memory jogged (although voters are
   encouraged to consider others not already listed as well;
the names on the "pseudo-nominee" lists are in no way the
only ones you can vote for),
2) to point out votes we've determined to be ineligible, and
to ask for your help in determining whether other votes
   are eligible or not.

Some votes that have been marked as "Ineligible" or "Questionable" will
possibly have their status changed after discussion on
rec.arts.comics.misc. If you are concerned about any such vote, please
follow this thread on RAC.misc.

Ballots must be mailed by the end of the day on Sunday, May 9nd 2004 (note

the voting period extension). Copies of the ballot have been posted to all

appropriate RAC* newsgroups. You can also get a copy via Google Groups at:

http://tinyurl.com/2ucdx

If you need a ballot and can not find one elsewhere, email us at
<questions@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
>

Osama Bin Laden On Time Travel
Posted by brian on Sun April 25, 08:03 PM
There's an interesting article over at CNET where Osama bin Laden gives us

some background information on time travel. I didn't know that time travel

had anything to do with communicating with aliens, but according to Osama
bin Laden it does. It's an interesting read, and sure to start a
discussion
on the practicality of time travel.
