Always had to deal with these issues myself when I see American
super-heroes
destroying people who are analogues for the US's own enemies. Not that I'm
anti-American of course, but it smacks of jingoism. I always thought the
Kang invasion of the earth a few years ago was the best metaphor for
Bush's
wars. Things were easier in the 70s when the US army (Hulkbusters) were
the
bad guys in the Hulk.
BTW, this guy is a serious film critic, in case you were wondering.
