An ode to Arnold Drake who died one year ago this March

Arnold Drake the co-creator of The Doom Patrol and Deadman - classics
of the '60s died one year ago. He also wrote for Marvel and wrote
Uncanny X-Men back in the late 60s. I only got to meet him once
several years ago at San Diego Comic-Con. I thanked him for helping to
create Lorna Dane and asked him why he decided to undo her
relation****p to Magneto, which was of course later retconned again. He
laughed and said at the time they couldn't see the daughter of Magneto
also being an X-Man so it was an either/or proposition. Overall, I
thought he was a jovial writer who cared about his fans alot more then
many writers today.

More info about Arnold Drake can be found at his wiki link
