Gene Colan is probably more familiar to most of us
for his comic book work than for his comic strip art.
Anyway, maybe some of you would like to send him a card.

His Daredevil stories made that character a favorite of
mine some forty+ years ago. He has been drawing comics
for over sixty years.
His one comic strip credit was the four months he
spent drawing the Howard the Duck comic strip.
All of that is available at http://www.nemsworld.com/howard/
For some reason he is credited with assisting
Bill Ziegler on the Mary Worth comic strip in the
late 1980s. http://hometown.aol.com/comicsproj/creditsLP.html
I asked him about that years ago and he (actually I think it
was his wife Adrienne who replied) responded saying the
only comic strip he worked on was Howard, never Mary.
Someone mentioned that it was Gene that got everyone
sending cards to John Buscema when Buscema was ailing,
so maybe we can do it for Gene now.
